About Me

I'm Joshua Lewis and I design and build websites.

I work with my clients to figure out what they want to accomplish and how the web can help. Then I build the pieces needed to make it happen.

Some Background

In 2005 I graduated from The Art Institute of Houston with a degree in Interactive Media Design. In 2008, after spending several years working for others learning and developing my skills, I set out on my own and opened up shop under the name LewisWebDesign.

I currently live and work in Conroe, Texas located just north of Houston and the Woodlands.

How I Work

I believe very strongly that good communication and solid planning are essential to a successful project. By avoiding miscommunication and making good decisions early it's possible to avoid costly problems.

While every project is unique I've found that a flexible process based on the following steps helps ensure that things go smoothly.

Gather Information
Explore what you and your audience both want and get a clear understanding of both available resources and any possible limitations.
Design
Working together use the above information to decide how the site will accomplish those goals. What text and images will be included, how will it be organized, what will it look like, etc.
Build
Usually the most straightforward and uneventful part of the project but also the most important. The best plans in the world aren't worth anything if they're never executed.
